The Voice Studio

"The only thing better than singing is more singing!"  Ella Fitzgerald

After having maintained an active voice studio in the North Hills of Pittsburgh, Ms. O'Hara-Tapp is returning to the Philadelphia area to provide instruction to a broad range of singers of all ages and skill levels.  She enjoys teaching students who aspire to pursue singing as a profession, as well as those who just love music and wish to sing simply for the joy of it.  The focus in her lessons is to build the student's singing technique, as well as their overall self-confidence and performance abilities.

In addition to weekly lessons, students have the opportunity to attend bi-monthly Masterclass. Masterclasses gives the students the opportunity to sing for one another, and the opportunity to learn to provide and acceptive corrective criticism from among peers. An annual Spring Recital also take place, giving students performance opportunities, and providing parents, family, and friends a chance to watch the students' talents develop.

In studying with Ms. O'Hara-Tapp students can gain:

  • A healthy vocal technique, including proper breathing and support.
  • Instruction focused on the interpretation of Broadway or Classical styles including English and foreign language diction
  • Valuable performance experience through participation in benefit recitals as well as master classes.

Students are accepted based on ability, potential and age.

A consultation/audition is required for acceptance into the studio. To learn more of Ms. O'Hara-Tapp's training, please refer to the Biography page on this website.
