Program Description

Musical Theater 360 is a 12-14 week musical theater after school program which exposes students to many facets of theater. This program will touch upon fun theater activities including: improvisation, dance, singing and acting techniques. All participants in MT-360 will be cast in...

"A Broadway Review"   

which will consist of various staged and choreographed numbers from various Musicals.  Monologues and skits from different shows may also be included.  As a culmination of the program, the students will perform for the School, Parents, Family and Friends. This is an all inclusive program where each child is given an opportunity to grow.

Eligibility 

Open to all students, boys and girls in grades 3-7

All participants must be able to commit to the following rehearsal schedule:
Friday from 3:15 – 4:30 (sometimes 5:00) beginning January 27, 2012, with added dress rehearsal time the week of the show. Students must be available for the Mandatory rehearsals (see bottom under Mandatory dates)

NOTE: NOT ALL REHEARSALS WILL BE FROM 3:15 – 4:30, BUT YOU MUST BE AVAILABLE AND FLEXIBLE DURING THIS DAY AND TIME AS ADDITIONAL TIME IS SOMETIMES NEEDED. EXTENDED TIME WILL BE GIVEN VIA EMAIL. PLEASE BE

Final Performance Dates

The program will be performed May 2,3,and 4th for St. Andrew Students, and Saturday, May 5 for Parents, Family, and Friends. (see rehearsal schedule at the bottom for details.)

There will be ticket sales for the Evening Show to defray costs for the program.

Adults $5.00
Children $3.00; Kids under 3 are FREE!!

Tuition, Materials & Policies

Tuition: for the program is $275 for a 12-14 week session 1-2 hours each week. (Payment plans are available. If you wish to set up a payment plan, please contact Mrs. O'Hara-Tapp at 215-718-8808. We are happy to work with you.)

Please Make checks payable to Shelly O'Hara-Tapp and submit to the office. Please label "Musical Theater 360 program"    

Sibling discount: $25 for each additional child enrolled in the program.  I regret there can be no refunds

Materials:  Students will be provided sheet music and Audio CD for studying music. Your child will be given his/her study materials to review after the audition process. The materials need to be studied before the first rehearsal.

For those who register in December, materials will be given so your child may listen and learn from the CD over the Christmas break!! A great Headstart!  

Regarding Make-Ups: There are no make up times/days for snow or cancelled rehearsals. Our make-up time will be during the week of dress rehearsals when we have extended time
and rehearsals.

ATTENDANCE:  PLEASE NOTE YOUR CHILD MAY ONLY HAVE 2 EXCUSED ABSENCES TO KEEP HIS/HER PART IN THE SHOW

Students must be available Monday-Friday the week of the show. (April 30th - May 5)

Dear Parents,

Please review this schedule carefully and make sure your child is available on the dates listed. The dress rehearsals are MANDATORY and must be attended. If your
child misses rehearsals it hurts the entire group. Only 2 excused absences will be given. Each week we will have a snack from 3:15 - 3:30. This will allow the kids to eat, socialize, and get ready for rehearsal. We will practice on Fridays with some exceptions from 3:30-4:30. Should we find we need more time,  we will communicate via EMAIL. Please provide an email address you check frequently throughout the day. If a cancellation needs to take place, we will need to let you know through EMAIL. We ask that you check your email before the end of your child's school day each Friday, as unforseen things can take place. We hope you are able to participate!

 -March 16 - NO REHEARSAL - SCHOOL PLAY!!!
-March 23, 30  - 3:15 - 4:30 Rehearsal Marian Room (On March 23rd, some 6th graders will need to be excused from rehearsal due to confirmation.)
-April 6 - NO REHEARSAL GOODFRIDAY                                                             -April: 13, 20, 27 - 3:15 - 4:45 Rehearsal in Marian Room
